Year I joined Stella Faculty
My philosophy of teaching is always evolving. I enjoy learning new strategies and techniques that help me to become a better educator for my students. My goal is to teach students through fun and engaging activities so that learning is a positive experience. I believe it is my responsibility as an early childhood educator, specifically a Kindergarten teacher, is to make learning a rich exciting experience.
What Student will learn in my class
In my Kindergarten class students will learn that school is a fun and exciting place to be. I will teach each student that learning is exciting and fun through discovery. I work individually with student to teach them strategies that will help them to become a beginning reader. We also work with number through 100. Students at the kindergarten level begin adding and subtracting. The goal is to get the students comfortable with manipulating sets of numbers through stories and word problems. We also have a large science component in Kindergarten. We learn about different animals and objects in nature with specific focus on lifecycles. Students take an active part in their learning by asking questions that drive instruction.
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.
