Stella Parent Partnership
Mission
The Stella Parent Partnership (SPP) is empowered to strengthen the bond between home and school by providing a forum for open communication and participation that enhances the educational experience of the entire school community. It promotes positive school spirit and unity among students, faculty, and parents; and assists the administration in its fundraising efforts.
Vision
To achieve full participation of parents and guardians that further promotes and enhances the intellectual, spiritual, and physical development of Stella Niagara students. Parents and guardians will be an active force in the lives of our students through participation and commitment to the school and its activities.
Membership
The SPP is comprised of ALL Stella Niagara parents and functions in support of the school’s board of directors and administration. Parents and guardians, particularly room parents, are strongly encouraged to participate in the SPP.
Structure
The SPP serves as the communication link between families and the school and coordinates several family activities.
SPP officers are elected annually from the SNEP parent community. Quarterly meetings are scheduled and dates appear on the school calendar.
In addition, the SPP coordinates the Room Parent program and assists the administration with its fundraising efforts.
Events
Throughout the school year, SPP sponsors several activities designed to bring families together in celebration of school spirit, fun, and friendship. Events include:
- Fall Family Picnic
- Boys Bowling Night
- Grade 7 and 8 Dances
- Swim and Gym Night
- Snowflake Shop
- Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
- Girls Formal
- Ladies' Tea
- Mardi Gras Celebration
- Guy's Campout
